Tomorrow is Game Day: A Few Super Bowl Makeup Ideas

I literally found out who was playing at the Super Bowl XLVIII today. Yes, yes. I live under a rock. I don’t have cable or an antenna—despite trying to get one the past couple of months to watch Supernatural and Arrow the day they air—and I usually check news sites just to see what’s going on in congress. Plus, my husband is not really into sports.

So here is a super impromptu post with some quick ideas that are cruelty-free and vegan—and also I can show off my hometown.

Seattle Eyes

I must admit that I don’t own a whole lot of blue and green eyeshadows. Both of those are cool colors that don’t play nice with my skin tone. Plus, I grew up in the eighties and generally avoid anything blue.

Since this is last minute, hopefully you already have these items hand, because there isn’t any time to pick anything that would be vegan.

#1 e.l.f. Mineral Eyeshadow

One of the best options for a Seahawk look is to use Outdoorsy and Beachy.

Earthy and Dreamy would also work.

#2 Wet n Wild Idol Eyes Creme Eyeshadow Pencil

Both the colors Distress and Envy are vegan and are perfect for Seahawk inspired looks. These are probably the products I’m going to use tomorrow.

The WNW Idol Eyes Creme Shadows super pigmented and I consider them to be one of the best vegan stick eyeshadows out there.

#3 e.l.f. Studio Geometric Eyeshadow Palette

You’ve probably figured out who I’m rooting for by this point.

A lot of people probably picked up one of the Geometric palettes from Target or Walgreen during the 2013 e.l.f. holiday promotion. All of the larger versions have options for blue and green.

I bought the Everyday version of the 32-Piece Geometric palette that has both an emerald green and blue.

#4 Sugarkiss by e.l.f.

Probably not too many have this palette, but if you do there are a couple options.

This palette is better for a subtler, pastel look.

#5 e.l.f. Studio 100 Piece Palette

Or any of the large palettes. I have the 100 Piece palette and it has a ton of options.

Seattle Nails

Unfortunately, I don’t own a lot of emerald or blue polishes. Almost all of the green polishes I own are closer to teal—or I can no longer recommend the brand. 🙁

#1 Wet n Wild LE Chrome Nail Color

This was a limited edition product, but you may have picked it up this year. I Got a New Com-pewter and Grew Up in Cobalt-imore would be perfect for a Seahawks look.

#2 Wet n Wild Megalast Polish

In a pinch you could use Sea Change, Blue Lagoon, or Poison Ivy (not pictured).

Sea Change and Poison Ivy are super dark, though.

Final Thoughts

I hope you’ve found this post helpful.

Erm, you may have noticed that I left out Denver. That was not an accident.

Go Hawks!
